Peripheral Nerve Stimulation

Peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS) is a minimally invasive neuromodulation therapy that delivers mild electrical impulses directly to peripheral nerves to relieve chronic pain. Modern wireless PNS systems eliminate the need for an implanted battery, using a small external pulse transmitter to power a tiny implanted lead. This therapy is particularly effective for localized pain conditions affecting specific nerves in the arms, legs, back, or other areas. It can provide significant relief for patients who have not responded to other conservative treatments. A trial period is available before permanent implantation to ensure the therapy provides meaningful pain relief.
