Condition
Headaches
Chronic headaches are among the most common pain conditions, affecting millions of people and significantly impacting daily life. While occasional headaches are normal, chronic headaches that occur 15 or more days per month require specialized evaluation and treatment.
Many chronic headaches have their origin in the cervical spine (neck). Cervicogenic headaches result from referred pain from structures in the neck, including the upper cervical facet joints, muscles, and nerves. Tension-type headaches, the most common form, involve muscle tightness in the head, neck, and shoulders.
At Spinal Interventions, our physicians evaluate the underlying cause of chronic headaches and offer targeted treatments including occipital nerve blocks, cervical facet injections, trigger point injections, and medication management to reduce headache frequency and severity.
